We are a vibrant junior club where all children and young people can learn and improve their hockey capabilities.

Everyone is welcome, beginners and experienced players alike. We cater for all abilities, from those who come to play the game for the first time to those at County, Regional and National level. Our classes start from 5.15pm during the week with matches on a Sunday once a month during the main hockey season (September to March).

Hockey Camps - we run regular hockey camps during the school holidays. The dates for the forthcoming camps can be found here

With over 300 members, we want our players to make friends and enjoy being part of our hockey community. Harrogate Juniors is in the Yorkshire Youth Hockey League (YYHL), playing in tournaments with teams throughout Yorkshire.

Children can start at age 6. Many of our juniors go on to play senior hockey and both mens and ladies current squads have Junior members who have come up through the ranks.

Our coaching team offers a wealth of experience and knowledge using a combination of hockey playing parents and senior club members from the mens and ladies sections. Most play regularly for the club on a weekly basis.

We are also very lucky to have a number of committed parents who run the section and manage and/or umpire the teams.

All our coaches, administrators and helpers are volunteers. So a big thank you to all those who give of their time and expertise.

Help required! We are always looking for willing volunteers to fill a never ending variety of roles. Please see our ‘helping’ tab if you can assist. Currently we are in great need of umpires for junior matches – we will provide all training and you may umpire only for those tournaments in which your child is playing if you prefer.
