Mens Third XI Hockey
The 3rd team is made up of seasoned players and young ones heading up the club with the older guys in theory helping teach the youngsters a thing or two. The reality is occasionally a little different!
Many players in the current 1st team squad have previously played for the 3rd team and the 2nd team will largely be made up of former players, demonstrating our policy of promoting the youth. Lots of the older lads have played 1st and 2nd team hockey as well meaning the thirds is a side always full of decent players.
The side currently plays in Yorkshire Division 5.
The 2010/2011 seaon saw the team finish a comfortable 5th in the league, someway ahead of the rest of the competition though not quite pushing the top four as muched as we might have hoped. This term the team are riding high and are pushing for automatic promotion to Division 4.
