Yes the Drinkers Draw rolled over again last month when one of Lucy Wood missed out on the chance to win £150. As always we sent a reporter to ask the questions you want answered...

At a friend's birthday party

An Ipod (NB: Mr and Mrs Wood - Christmas not far away!)

Coke. Ha

The Club (Assume that is the hockey club and not the dodgy "gentlemen's" club on Victoria Avenue!)

Pammy turned 30 (I know Harry thought she was older too!) a couple of weeks ago so to celebrate Harry took her to Paris, with a few of her close friends

The last Drinkers Draw was held after the AGM, and was won or rather lost by Beth Evans. As always we sent our roving reporter to see her and find out why she missed the chance to win £100.

1. What were you doing at the time of drinkers draw?
Drinking at home where its free, waiting to meet every one in town (where its cheap) after drinkers draw! Oh the irony!! (Editors note - we should all go to Beth's place as apparently alcohol is free there - maybe she has a beer tree in the back garden?)
2. What would you have spent the money on?
More drink! I dont have a problem . . . honest.
3. Favourite drink?
Vodka redbull . . . by the jug
4. Favourite place to drink?
It's not about where you are, its the company you keep- so on my own at Monteys for 2 for 1 cocktails!

Sat nav Rach B and her multi colour co ordinated maps with key

Getting lost on the way despite sat nav Rach and overly efficient maps.

Harry has been jetting off again on holiday since the last newsletter, when we featured his trip to Spain with Feasey and co.
His holiday highlights include:
- Going to Indochina with Catherine, travelling first class on the plane, sipping Harrogate water and munching on free biscuits
- Watching a snake-blood vodka being made (yes, real snake blood)
- Experiencing his first tour in Bowden with the likes of Joshi, Amy C, Fraser, Catherine, the Boyds, Swarbs and Bart/Dom
- Going to see Oasis in concert
- Visiting Portsmouth en route to France
- Seeing the windmills and cheese tasting in Amsterdam

Last months Drinkers Draw saw a break from tradition with the First Team Ladies not featuring for once. Many thanks for Steve Gardner, who borrowed some balls for the weekend and managed this very important job.
The person to miss out on the £50 prize was our beloved and esteemed President, Mr Geoff Phillips. The next draw will be on Friday 8th May at 8.00pm and the prize fund is now £75.
Unfortunately our top reporter was unable to track down El Presidente for interview, and so in true tabloid fashion we thought we thought we would make it up.

1. What were you doing at the time of drinkers draw?
Writing my opening speech for this year's AGM, which incidentally is Friday 10th July - see you all there!!
2. What would you have spent the money on?
Buying everybody a drink of course.
3. Favourite drink?
One bought by somebody else.
4. Favourite place to drink?
Obviously the Hockey Club

5. What team would you like to play for at HHC?
The Veterans - if only Gary would pick me.
6. What would be your preferred position?
Leading the attack, as any good President should be.
7. What position would people actually put you in?
On the sideline, trying to stop Bob Nash abusing the umpires and opposition...
8. What would be the first thing people would notice about you on the pitch?
My speed (of thought), or failing that, my 1969 Ihsan stick. One careful owner, now available on eBay.
9. Would you have any special routines before your big game?
Just a couple of quick halves with Tony Edmo and Jimmy Boyd

10. What do you miss the most about the hockey club out of season?
Having to buy the drinks all the time because I'm Club President
11. Do you have a special talent?
Always appearing at the bar when everybody has empty glasses.
12. What’s the best thing about being Club President?
Having all this power but not having to go to committee meetings.

Yes its true. Another Ladies First team player has joined the list of "Fozzy", "Howie" and "Sedders" That lucky lady is Laura "Pikey" Donaldson... We went to find out what the caravan dweller was up to...

Probably just getting back to Leeds after our away match in York

New shoes! I accidentally bought 3 pairs at lunch time today :S

Either a chilled bottle of rose wine or a pint of snakey b

In the beer garden at the Original Oak in Leeds on a warm summers day

Probably that everybody calls me Pikey!

The hockey, the girls and all the social stuff that goes with hockey!

I don’t think I really have any.

I usually manage to turn up last when we meet for away games in Headingley when I live literally round the corner!
